Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. 1.Turn the water shut-off valve clockwise until it is fully closed.
  2. 2.Flush the toilet to drain as much water from the tank as possible.
  3. 3.Place a bucket under the water supply connection and use a wrench to disconnect the supply line from the bottom of the fill valve.
  4. 4.Use a sponge or cup to remove any remaining water from the bottom of the tank.
  5. 5.Unscrew the mounting nut from the fill valve shank located underneath the tank.
  6. 6.Remove the old fill valve from inside the tank and discard it.
  7. 7.Adjust the height of the new fill valve according to the manufacturer's instructions to fit your tank.
  8. 8.Insert the new fill valve into the hole at the bottom of the tank and ensure the rubber gasket is seated correctly.
