  1. 1.Turn off the thermostat system.
  2. 2.Remove the thermostat from its wall mount by pulling it straight off.
  3. 3.Locate the battery compartment on the back of the thermostat.
  4. 4.Open the battery compartment cover.
  5. 5.Remove the old batteries from the compartment.
  6. 6.Insert two new AA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
  7. 7.Close the battery compartment cover.
