1.Measure and mark the desired height for the peephole on the door, ensuring it's accessible to all household members.
2.Drill a pilot hole at the marked location, using a 1/4-inch drill bit, drilling halfway through from one side.
3.Switch to a 1/2-inch drill bit and complete the hole by drilling from the opposite side to prevent splintering.
4.Clean any debris from the hole using a butter knife or similar tool.
5.Insert the exterior part of the peephole into the hole from the outside.
6.Insert the interior part of the peephole into the hole from the inside, aligning it with the exterior part.
7.Tighten the two parts of the peephole together by hand or with a Phillips #2 screwdriver until secure.
8.Test the peephole to ensure a clear view and proper installation.
