Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. 1.Wash the headlight lenses and surrounding area thoroughly with soap and water to remove all dirt and debris.
  2. 2.Apply two layers of masking tape to the painted body panels surrounding the headlight to prevent accidental damage during sanding.
  3. 3.Wet the headlight lens and the sandpaper with water to begin sanding in a horizontal motion, starting with the coarsest grit.
  4. 4.Progress through the finer grits of sandpaper while keeping the surface wet to refine the scratches and remove all yellowing or oxidation.
  5. 5.Wipe the lens clean with a dry microfiber cloth to ensure all sanding residue is removed.
  6. 6.Apply a small amount of plastic polishing compound to a clean cloth or drill-mounted pad and buff the lens in circular motions until it becomes clear.
  7. 7.Wipe away any remaining polish residue with a clean microfiber cloth.
  8. 8.Apply a layer of UV-resistant headlight sealant to the lens to protect the plastic from future oxidation and re-yellowing.
  9. 9.Remove the masking tape carefully and allow the sealant to cure according to the product instructions.
